It’s aliiive (cue Bach’s Toccata)

So, it’s been a while, huh? 😀

I have, in fact, not vanished from the face of the earth. I have simply not really made a lot of cards and whenever I did, I forgot to take a picture (which means I was either last-minute or too lazy to take a decent one, let’s face it…).

Freelancing – which sounds so much more relaxed than it really is – has also meant that I have not been creating a lot or at all.

It seems I have now found some of my mojo again and so without further ado, here is a new card I recently made:

It’s always good to have a masculine birthday card on hand – and wouldn’t you know it, this one is already on its way to the recipient!

The recipe is easy – some pale green CS from Artoz, a WRMK embossing folder, steel dies are Kesi’Art (Feuille Edwin) and Papertrey Ink (Birthday), Savvy Stamps stamp (Avery Elle Fog ink) plus some Studio Calico Mister Huey’s in Mint Julep and Lunchtray. Topped it off with some machine stitching and that was all.

I have to say I am on a bit of a roll with cardmaking again, which makes me really happy 🙂

So stay tuned, because there are quite a few more creations I made (and keep making) that I’d like to share with you in the weeks to come.

See ya!

New thread

Hey there 🙂
Just a quick heads up that I am, in fact, still alive. I’m just snowed under and really looking forward to our holiday. One more week! Yay 🙂

IMG_3674-001This is just a little masculine birthday card I made for my grandpa, loosely based upon this lovely card by Dana (second card in her post).

IMG_3680-001Now I’ll quickly hit “publish” before my battery dies (can’t find my charger, argh).

Hope you’re doing well!

P.S. Title stems from this lovely version of a song I’m really liking lately (I know!! :D)

Ein kleines Dankeschön

Hey peeps,

just a quick one today: A friend asked me to make her a manly Thank-You card this afternoon, so I whipped up this little number:

It uses my brand-spankin’ new “Dankeschön” stamp by BastisRIKE plus a banner cut out with my silhouette, some washi, Mr. Hueys in Dark Calico and Mint Julep, a leaf cut out of Benzie Bazaar felt (thanks, Angy!) and a woodgrain-embossed cardbase (thanks, Dana!). I found it really hard not to use any bows, glitter or pink ^^ And that sums it up.

Have a lovely week!

I tried to do handstands for you

Hey everyone!
I’ve been off for over a week since I had a friend from my hometown visiting me. So for one whole week I was busy entertaining her 😉 But now I’m back, sharing with you some stuff I made over the next days.

First of all, here’s the card for my brothers b-day:

bb bday

In diesem Sinne: Alles Gute, Großer!
{BTW this is a shameless CASE from Kristina Werners supercute card. Um, did I mention I dreamt of visiting her in the States the other night… yeah I know 😀 lol!}

Next up I got a Blog Award!! Dana gave it to me, so: Thanks, chickie!

Since it’s my second award, I might just have to open a new category 🙂

What you need to do when you receive this award:

* Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.
* Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you have newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

So in order to comply [a bit] with these rules, here are some newly-found blogs or other gems from blogland I’d like to tell you about (in no special order):

#1 Sandra aka Scrapperia – Talented and incredibly funny (if you happen to understand any German)

#2 Stephanie – Of course she had a blog before, but look! It’s all new 🙂

#3 Savitri – most of you will probably know her, she’ll soon move to Europe, yay 🙂

#4 Deanna Woodland – I’ve been a loyal follower of her blog for quite some time, go check it out!

#5 Clean and Simple – just as the name suggests 😉

#6 Laura – Her creations are adorable! And she used to live in Germany! 🙂

#7 Alberto Cerriteño – That’s a different kind of blog, but that man is so awesome, I had to share.

#8 Danielle Layton – She used to be on the Cosmo Cricket DT, but not only her artwork, also her posts are way cool!

#9 Krystie Lee – She made me do it! She made me buy the supercute stamps! I ripped the package open and used them all the day they came! In my next post you’ll see what I did with them 🙂 Hee.

Oh, so many smilies – see, I had to tell you about them since these blogs really make me smile!!
Anyway, have a great Monday!!
