So, it’s been a while, huh? ๐Ÿ˜€

I have, in fact, not vanished from the face of the earth. I have simply not really made a lot of cards and whenever I did, I forgot to take a picture (which means I was either last-minute or too lazy to take a decent one, let’s face it…).

Freelancing – which sounds so much more relaxed than it really is – has also meant that I have not been creating a lot or at all.

It seems I have now found some of my mojo again and so without further ado, here is a new card I recently made:

IMG_20180509_131549_707

It’s always good to have a masculine birthday card on hand – and wouldn’t you know it, this one is already on its way to the recipient!

The recipe is easy – some pale green CS from Artoz, a WRMK embossing folder, steel dies are Kesi’Art (Feuille Edwin) and Papertrey Ink (Birthday), Savvy Stamps stamp (Avery Elle Fog ink) plus some Studio Calico Mister Huey’s in Mint Julep and Lunchtray. Topped it off with some machine stitching and that was all.

I have to say I am on a bit of a roll with cardmaking again, which makes me really happy ๐Ÿ™‚

So stay tuned, because there are quite a few more creations I made (and keep making) that I’d like to share with you in the weeks to come.

See ya!

I tried to do handstands for you

Hey everyone!
I’ve been off for over a week since I had a friend from my hometown visiting me. So for one whole week I was busy entertaining her ๐Ÿ˜‰ But now I’m back, sharing with you some stuff I made over the next days.

First of all, here’s the card for my brothers b-day:

bb bday

In diesem Sinne: Alles Gute, GroรŸer!
{BTW this is a shameless CASE from Kristina Werners supercute card. Um, did I mention I dreamt of visiting her in the States the other night… yeah I know ๐Ÿ˜€ lol!}

Next up I got a Blog Award!! Dana gave it to me, so: Thanks, chickie!

lovelyblog_award

Since it’s my second award, I might just have to open a new category ๐Ÿ™‚

What you need to do when you receive this award:

* Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.
* Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you have newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

So in order to comply [a bit] with these rules, here are some newly-found blogs or other gems from blogland I’d like to tell you about (in no special order):

#1 Sandra aka Scrapperia – Talented and incredibly funny (if you happen to understand any German)

#2 Stephanie – Of course she had a blog before, but look! It’s all new ๐Ÿ™‚

#3 Savitri – most of you will probably know her, she’ll soon move to Europe, yay ๐Ÿ™‚

#4 Deanna Woodland – I’ve been a loyal follower of her blog for quite some time, go check it out!

#5 Clean and Simple – just as the name suggests ๐Ÿ˜‰

#6 Laura – Her creations are adorable! And she used to live in Germany! ๐Ÿ™‚

#7 Alberto Cerriteรฑo – That’s a different kind of blog, but that man is so awesome, I had to share.

#8 Danielle Layton – She used to be on the Cosmo Cricket DT, but not only her artwork, also her posts are way cool!

#9 Krystie Lee – She made me do it! She made me buy the supercute stamps! I ripped the package open and used them all the day they came! In my next post you’ll see what I did with them ๐Ÿ™‚ Hee.

Oh, so many smilies – see, I had to tell you about them since these blogs really make me smile!!
Anyway, have a great Monday!!

Henrietta, we bought no flowers for you

I’m back ๐Ÿ™‚
Yep, just as announced, I stuck to my plan of MIA until everything was over. And I made it. On Wednesday I had my presentation and it went very well and just some hours ago I finished my essay.
Yee-haw, people!!

So, what happened in the meantime?

First of all, Buck turned three!!
(He got a big birthday bone which for me resulted in waking up to choking noises and other horrible things the next day, I’ll spare you the details.) The last year was not the best one for you, first moving then being diagnosed with Leishmaniasis… So here’s to hoping that the new year in your life will be much calmer and happier! Look at this little birthday boy:

Love you, cutie!

Next up, I wanted to show you the earrings I made with the help of my friend Anastasia while I was in my hometown over the weekend.

I love them, they are so cool. Plus I made them. Which makes them even cooler. Whaddya think?

Last but not least a Thank You card I made for Kate & Steph over at the Passion for Papertrey blog and which – surprise – is made of items they sent me. I also made it with the new challenge in mind, which was to use buttons – easy peasy ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you have any questions, let me know.
Holidays start tomorrow, so I finally get around doing all the stuff that needs to be done (good intentions…) and creating some stuff as I’ve been yearning to craft for the last weeks…!!

See you soon!

23 yesterday

Hey peeps!

This is just a real quick post to tell all of you a BIG THANK YOU for all the warm words and hugs and presents – you’re the best!

I’m on the run because I’m driving home to my mom in three hours and until then I have to clean up the mess from yesterday’s party and pack my stuff. Plus I have to pop by at work, because I made two loafs of the famous cheese & onion bread and we only managed to eat one of them yesterday evening. So I thought I’d bring them the other loaf, hope they like it! They sang for me yesterday, it was too cute ๐Ÿ™‚ Yay for having the best colleagues!

Anyways, what I wanted to share just really quick is a picture that knocked me off my socks when I discovered it this morning (note: am still able to be overly excited about something even if I had a total 14 hours of sleep for three nights). A friend made this for me and sent me the link, check this out:

OH. MY. WORD.
So if by any chance you live in my hometown, you can go there and have a look. This is SO awesome! (the big letters say “all the best” and to the left it says “for Nina”)
I am so blessed to have all of these great people in my life, I truly am.
To finish, a quote by Cicero:
“Keine Schuld ist dringlicher, als die, Dank zu sagen.” (more or less: Nothing is of higher priority than to say thanks)

So again: Thanks everyone, I love you guys!
