Hey there, just a quick hello to show you a few pics from my eight days in NYC (pre-Christmas) – just a few favourites:
The first morning in NYC – view out of my Upper East Side Apt.
The Manhatten skyline as seen from the Reservoir in Central Park.
Hello, beautiful! Discovered when sitting at Madison Square Park, having a concrete in the sun.
Inside the famous Ace Hotel.
Like in the movies, right?! At Union Square Park.
Rockefeller Center in all its glory. It’s like Disneyland, but without the entrance fee.
Cycling over beautiful Brooklyn Bridge on an icy cold day.
Manhattan as seen from Brooklyn Bridge (shot with numb fingers, brr).
The Nutcracker @New York Ballet. As magical as it gets.
Looking over to Brooklyn from the One World Trade Center.
Remembering at the 9/11 Memorial.
Charming stores in Nolita – yes, I may have bought a thing or two.
Possibly my very favourite moment.
New York knows how to look festive.
Pancakes at Applejacks – oh yeah!
Back in Europe: This is Lac Leman down there.
Click on the pictures to a) see them in full and b) also get a little description of what you’re seeing there.
I’d do it all again in a heartbeat. Just give me like at least another year to earn enough money for that, though ^^
My hosts (booked through AirBnb) were so sweet and this was truly a long-held dream that came true.
I hope your 2016 will also be one of dreams coming true for you.
Be kind to one another and our planet.
