Take it easy

… is a very good piece of advice from my mom. Now I “just” need to incorporate that into my life… toughie.

Anyhow, how are you?
I’m doing okay, just busier than ever… learning for a med test (pool of 260 questions… arghh) and trying to do my presentation for Thursday… oh well.

Yesterday, Ngawini & I went to The Comediettes, t’was a nice change from my tight schedule and we had a very enjoyable evening 🙂

The next post will include some pics from our trip to Sydney, but for now: on to some cards!! (Disclaimer: flower parade ahead!)

Here’s a card based very loosely on this card and the idea of making a ribbon rose (seems like handmade flowers are all the rage at the moment, so I couldn’t resist ;)). There’s lots of American Crafts on there (solid structured CS for the panels and a bit Dear Lizzy for leaves), the cardbase is Stampin’ Ups Sahara Sand.

A close-up of the thickers, partly adhered with dimensionals (yes, some little kitty snuck into the background ^^).

This is my version of Kristina’s Gathered Paper Flower with some Dear Lizzy patterned paper and a BasicGrey button. Pretty straightforward.

And last but not least an absolutely shameless CASE of this stunner on the cover of Papercrafts Magazine. I know that pears do not really scream “spring”, but maybe it says something about the ambiguity of having spring in Germany while being in autumnal New Zealand 🙂 Btw some of those pears got a bit of a Crystal Effects treatment, probably only visible in the enlarged version of the photo.

That’s it for now, gotta go home. If you have any questions, let me know!
Thanks for looking and commenting!

Have a good Sunday evening (or morning)

P.S. Since I CASE a lot, I really liked these wise words about inspiration (via Studio Calico) [taken for granted that telling where inspiration is from is a common courtesy that everyone should recognize]:

  2. Hallo Nina,

was macht der Stress?

    LG, Tina
