Hey all!
I have just finished a card for a colleague and thought I’d share this (and some other things) with you before I head to bed. This was the first time I used my Coluzzle and I really like this circle as the main focus.
First I made half a “text circle” with GIMP 2.0 and then typed the name out in a font I liked (called “MA Sexy” lol and is to be found at one of my favourite web pages, where you’ll find great fonts and dingbats for free: dafont.com – btw this is also where the elements of my header are from, see “sidewalk” and “loosydings expert” – love this!).
Second I cut out a circle of white cardstock with my Coluzzle in a matching size and using my light table and a black gel pen I traced the outlines of the font and coloured it in. I added some paper piercing and I used my PTI Dark Chocolate ink pad to give my circle a vintage feel. I then added the green buttons and white paper ribbon from Ikea to dress them up.
The branch from PTIs Out on a Limb set was stamped onto (retired) SU Wild Wasabi CS and the leaves were stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. (Thanks to my toaster! I don’t own a heat gun yet, heehee!)
Concerning the ribbon, the knot on the right is SU Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Grosgrain and on top of the circle I threw in a little bit of PTI Dark Chocolate Swiss Dot Satin. I then used dimensionals to add more dimension and there you have it! I really hope my colleague likes it. Ah and the circled text reads “Best wishes for your future”, because she leaves the company for further training.
So while we’re at it, yes I HAVE A NEW JOB 🙂
I like all the stuff I do there (it has some connection with my studies, which is a great plus) and the people are really nice. So at the moment I like working better than being at home, as you can probably imagine.
Now for all of us (me!) a photo of my baby ❤ so that I can sleep.
I’ll post some more over the next days and because it’s currently snowing outside (yay! snow!) I’m in the mood of posting some xmas stuff I made recently.
Well then – G’night, peeps!
Hallo Nina
Thank you for your comment on my blog. You can love me at my email address, then I can help you by mail.
Greetings Christina

You cards are lovely Nina, I like this new one especially. I love to make cards myself, although mines are a lot more amateur 🙂
Wow! Thank you so much for your comment 🙂 Oh really? So you’re on the creative side, how cool is that! When it comes to decorative crafting, there are not a lot of men around, you know. I actually started making cards for Xmas because my family is far too large to give each and everyone a present (plus I wouldn’t really know what to give to, like, my great aunt etc. – you know what I mean!)
You might probably remember that I mailed you last year for your address to send the Xmas Card to. If you compare it this one, you will see that you get better with practice 😉
Now I can tell everybody the legendary Terry commented on my blog, heehee.
Congratulations on the new job 🙂 Also, thanks so much for the beautiful Christmas card, it just arrived this morning and has put a big smile on my face – so pretty! Have a great Christmas 🙂
